Norway is located in northern Europe on the Scandinavian peninsula. It extends along the peninsula and to the north with the Svalbard islands.

The climate in Norway is cold and torrid all year round, even in summer the temperatures are not very hot.
Capital City: Oslo
The capital of Norway is Oslo, located in the south of the country. It has 1,012,225 people (2017) living there. It is located in a fjord at the meeting point of some valleys that function as connecting axes for the rest of the country.


Government
Norway is a constitutional monarchy, the king is the head of state, but it is the parliament that makes and enacts laws.
Symbols: Coat of Arms
The coat of arms of the state of Norway, is composed of a Golden lion, tongue and crown, holding an axe, with the red background. It is the coat of arms of the Norwegian royal family.


Places to see: Svalbard Islands
Svalbard islands are located very close to the north pole, these islands are subject to expeditions and research. They have a population of 3000. The climate is cold and like in the Polo night and day last 6 months.
Places to See: Fjords
The Fjords are natural coves in the mountains. Fjords are typical of the Norwegian landscape.
